the ol’ razzzle dazzle
No but actually this is a GREAT way to present a dress like this! A regular standing mannequin wouldn’t show off all the layers and details in the skirt!
Still quite a bit left to do, but it’s really coming together! I like the colors in this dress so much more then my red and white version. I think it looks a lot less juvenile and way more magical.
It’s made from organza and chiffon with a tulle overlay and $60 of fake flowers.
since this blog has turned into art anddd fashion i’m gonna start tagging shit so if you’d rather find art or fashion or hair, etc. then you can do so.
i did some but it’s a WIP lol.
SteamGirl® Spotlight: Ayria Lovett
Hello everyone! Professor Falconer here, and this week’s SteamGirl® Spotlight is on the extremely talented Ayria Lovett! Hailing from London and currently residing in Berlin, Germany, Ayria works as not only a model for SteamGirl.com, but also as our official photographer in Europe! It’s thanks to her that we’ve had a recent influx of international models, and with her unique skills as a photographer and artistic director, me and Kato have been loving all the work she’s been sending our way!
Speaking of, she’s been incredibly busy lately. Just this week, she did a dozen SteamGirl.com and Stylerotica photo shoots! I don’t know if you’ve ever done a photo shoot before, but twelve of them in just a week is a massive undertaking. But of course Ayria works extremely hard and loves what she does, so that’s definitely a big help. You can find sneak previews on her Facebook page (link below). And speaking of Facebook, don’t forget to check out The Mermaid Sisters, the page dedicated to Ayria and Syrena Van Nautilus for all their mermaid modeling and photography.
But don’t think that Ayria can “only” model or do photography, because she also makes so much more! In fact, if you head to the Verne Facebook page this Winter, you’ll find “Ayria’s Vintage Collection”, a workflow collection featuring unique writing paper, pens, desk pads, and more!
Yes, Ayria Lovett practically does it all. But she’s always eager to do more, too! As she told me, “I’m always looking out for new artists (designers, crafters, etc) and I want to expand my network!” So if you fit the bill and want to see if you can work with one of the most talented individuals we’ve seen, feel free to send her a message!
Here’s where you can find Ayria online:
Kato’s always had a fondness for people in uniforms, but perhaps more than that, she loves being in one herself! Of course, it helps if she’s the one designing said uniform, so here’s Kato’s take on one for law-enforcement types. It’s a safe bet she won’t have to tell anyone to freeze more than once; they’ll be too stunned to do anything anyway!
